This sweetened “condensed milk” is vegan. It is completely gluten, dairy, casein and refined sugar free! I cannot take credit for this recipe – I found it on And Love It Too! and have just halved the quantities.
Makes approximately 1/2 – 1 cup
- 1 can coconut milk (400ml)
- 1/4 cup Agave Nectar
- In sauce pan, combine the coconut milk and agave. Warm mixture over medium-low heat until mix begins to bubble. Continue to cook over low heat, mixing continuously until sauce is reduced to half , is slightly golden and is the consistency of a light syrup.
- Cool to room temperature. Store refrigerated in container until ready to use.
